This vessel began with maroon and gray merino wool. During the felting process I added black mawatas. A mawata, or silk hankie, is the silk cocoon which has been degummed and stretched. These beautiful fibers can be added to the nuno-felting process to created beautiful details, I created points of interest with resists that created pocket with accent colors. I formed a piece of copper and finished it with a patina, this with square jasper stones complete the piece. I have a glass cylinder inside that can be used for flowers if you choose.
