About Jules

Hi, my name is Julie Robinson, but please call me Jules.  I have been creating things most of my life, but one of my true passions is working with fiber.  Silk and wool, linen or bamboo, I have tried them all.  Most of my work is in silk and wool and always has a natural element to it.  I live in rural NH with my husband Ed.  We both spent our careers as wildlife biologists so you can see why we are so attuned to the natural world around us!  All of my creative energy is linked to nature.

I love to garden, we raise bees and chickens, we love to hunt and fish and camp, all things that infuse me with inspiration and the desire to create beautiful pieces for your to wear or decorate your home.

My love of fiber started at my Grandma's knee as I would watch her hand dye the wool from plant materials that she would use to hook her beautiful rugs.  She taught me how to incorporate the colors I see in nature and bring them to life in my hooked rugs.

I still hook and love every minute of it!  You will find rug hooked wall hangings and pillows, stool covers and so much more!  Check out m rug hooking collections.

Over the years I have taken TONS of classes, my favorite venue is Northeast Fiber Arts in Williston, VT.  www.Northeastfiberarts.com  Jen Hoag, the owner and artist. teaches some of her own classes and then brings in amazing talent that I have enjoyed over the years!  Look Jen's store up on line, if you are a knitter, weaver, felt artist or someone looking for some amazing classes she is the place to go!  And if you live in the area go check out her store, NOBODY has more stock!

Over many years I learned how to eco-dye and nuno felt fabric which became my obsession!  And what you will see throughout this site.  Thanks for being here and I hope we have a long and wonderful relationship together - namaste  Jules
